Simplify Your Hosting Duties

General Cleaning (All Rooms)

• Dust all surfaces, including shelves, nightstands, tables, and baseboards

• Wipe down light switches, door handles, and remotes (disinfect high-touch areas)

• Vacuum carpets and rugs

• Sweep and mop hard floors

• Empty trash bins and replace liners

• Check for cobwebs, corners, and behind furniture

Living Room

• Dust TV, entertainment unit, and coffee tables

• Fluff and arrange cushions and throws neatly

• Wipe glass or mirrored surfaces

• Organize books, magazines, or décor items

Kitchen

• Wipe and disinfect countertops and backsplash

• Clean sink and faucet

• Wash and put away dishes (or run/empty dishwasher)

• Wipe exterior of appliances (microwave, fridge, oven, toaster, etc.)

• Clean inside of microwave and refrigerator if needed

• Take out trash and recycling

• Restock essentials: paper towels, dish soap, sponge, coffee/tea

Bedrooms

• Strip used linens and replace with fresh sheets and pillowcases

• Make beds neatly (hotel-style if possible)

• Dust side tables, lamps, and headboards

• Check under bed and inside drawers for left-behind items

• Restock hangers, extra blankets, or pillows if provided

Bathrooms

• Clean and disinfect toilet, sink, and shower/bathtub

• Wipe mirrors and glass surfaces streak-free

• Replace towels (bath, hand, washcloths)

• Refill toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper)

• Empty trash bin

• Mop floors and check grout/tiles for stains

Entryway

• Sweep or mop floors

• Wipe down doors, handles, and switches

• Shake out or vacuum welcome mats

• Check for scuffs on walls or doors

Final Touches

• Open windows briefly for fresh air (if possible)

• Adjust thermostat/lights for guest arrival

• Place welcome note or small treat (optional)

• Double-check Wi-Fi info and guidebook are visible

• Do a walk-through: lights on, beds neat, clutter-free
